history and commercial use edit

it would be great to have some words on the history ie. when discovered, by whom, when exported around the world (Victorian popularity, queen V had one by her coffin), and so on, a lot of this info is contained at Lord Howe Island, so just a few words might be requrired with a "more info see....".
