Quarantine Facilities vs. Concentration Camp

This page is being vandalized repeatedly to call the COVID quarantine facilities near Howard Springs concentration camps. This is an inflammatory and inaccurate description. They in fact are concentration camps. They fit the definition of concentration camps. People are forced against their will into these camps based on (possible) medical conditions and their political beliefs and not allowed to leave. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.57.109.139 (talk) 01:56, 4 December 2021 (UTC)

Here is the Merriam-Webster definition of concentration camp: "a place where large numbers of people (such as prisoners of war, political prisoners, refugees, or the members of an ethnic or religious minority) are detained or confined under armed guard —used especially in reference to camps created by the Nazis in World War II for the internment and persecution of Jews and other prisoners" . Quarantine is generally applicable to the whole population, not specifically members of ethnic or religious minorities, political prisoners, or prisoners of war. Members of Labor are put in quarantine just like Liberals. Can you please also show me the Merriam-Webster definition of quarantine facility? Because I can't find it. There is also no Wikipedia article. Or dictionary.com entry. Why are we using a term that is not defined anywhere? Interestingly there is a Wikipedia article for Internment with very interesting claims, such as: "Internment is the imprisonment of people, commonly in large groups, without charges or intent to file charges." or "[...] while it can simply mean imprisonment, it tends to refer to preventive confinement [...]" or "The American Heritage Dictionary defines the term concentration camp as: "A camp where persons are confined, usually without hearings and typically under harsh conditions, often as a result of their membership in a group which the government has identified as dangerous or undesirable."" Surely you can understand why one would see these as accurate descriptions of the current situation. Merriam-Webster does not have a definition for "quarantine facility," but it does have definitions for "quarantine" and "facility."

Quarantine (essential definition 2): "the situation of being kept away from others to prevent a disease from spreading." . Facility (definition 4(b)): "something (such as a hospital) that is built, installed, or established to serve a particular purpose."

Putting these together, a definition of "quarantine facility" can be determined: "Something (such as a hospital) that is built, installed, or established to serve the particular purpose of keeping people away from others to prevent a disease from spreading."

Instead of editing the article back and forth why not add a "criticism" section detailing the "concentration camp" accusation? As it currently stands the article makes no mention of any criticism to the facility/camp. of course people will want to edit the page back and forth if the only description on the page is (in my opinion) positive in nature with no criticism at all cited anywhere. The facility/camp has received enough criticism to warrant a subsection. Not mentioning anything any criticism at all will encourage people to add it in a destructive way as they feel it's being censored.
