Is Howard Jackson (kickboxer) or the like better than Howard Jackson (boxer)? Hmmmm, we have Bill Wallace (martial arts) for example. JJL (talk) 15:24, 18 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

I see with MMA articles it seems that (fighter) is the most common. See [1].--Cube lurker (talk) 15:31, 18 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

I don't know if Howard Jackson should be considered a MMA fighter, since he didn't compete in MMA fights, as MMA wasn't in existence at the time he was still competing. And he also taught the martial arts as well; fighting wasn't all that he did. So adding a subtitle like "fighter" wouldn't be necessary. I think those titles such as "fighter", "martial arts",etc is to better specify the person, especially if there are several Wikipedia entries with the same name.
