Eden and other inaccurate credits

What evidence is there that Eden sang or played on any version of this album? She's not credited anywhere and, by her own admission (see reference 2 in the main Band article) couldn't play anything. (Stufarq (talk) 21:37, 6 May 2009 (UTC)) Alan Carvell is credited with the backing vocals on Ocean Blue (not P.P. Arnold, who is not credited on the album at all). David Williams isn't credited with any vocals, only guitar. And how is Eden censored on "A To Z"? I have the UK commercial release (where, according to the information here, she is censored) and the Record Club version (where she is supposedly uncensored). Both sound identical, with Eden's entire dialogue being "Hi, my name's Eden and I want you to kiss my snatch." And, for that matter, both versions have a gap before "(How to Be a) Millionaire".

There are other mistakes in the credits on this page. Maye Mackenna (backing vocals on tracks 1,7,8,9) is missed; and David Palmer only played drums on the rerecorded single version of Ocean Blue, not on any album version. (Note that the page states that all versions of the album use the same mix of the song but then says that Palmer played drums and P.P Arnold sang on the Record Club and initial CD versions!)

I would therefore contend that the information on this page is inaccurate. Can anyone verify either my information or the given information and get this page sorted out? (Stufarq (talk) 23:10, 22 July 2009 (UTC))

I might can solve some of the confusion by pointing out that I have a different version than described by any of the entries here. My cassette appears to be the Record Club version, bought in a music store, with the blue spotlight, and no backing graphics save for the checkerboard border. However, my "A To Z" differs from the CD, with Eden's section in "A To Z" censored (Russell-Powell says "Hi, I'm Eden," and the music immediately jumps back to the "A! B! C!" section before continuing on through the David Yarritu section and the ending). There is a normal two-second gap between the end of the song (which ends with Fry whispering something that appears to be "That was all") and "(How To Be) A Millionaire". I can't lay my hands on the CD I replaced my "Zillionaire!" cassette with when it began to show signs of wear, but I'm pretty sure the artwork was the same (blue spotlight, no backing graphic except checkerboard) and it did not have the Eden section censored.

Both my CD and cassette contain spoken dialogue from Fry in the opening of "Vanity Kills", identical versions of "Ocean Blue", and no sign of Eden in "(How To Be) A Millionaire." "Millionaire" contains only a male vocal breakdown—possibly samples from movies—in both cases ("Billions and billions and billions and billions and billions of pounds, billions of pounds, kill 'em some way, corruption, corruption") followed by a simple guitar solo.

I agree with Stufarc—someone needs to find a reliable and complete discography and see if they can nail down just how many versions exist of this one album. Obviously it's more than are listed in the article. 75.66.145.31 (talk) 17:55, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

I can verify some of the comments above. I have original UK vinyl & cassette issues, the original European CD and the 2005 European CD. They all have the same version of the album - no censoring in 'A to Z', a gap between 'A to Z' and '...Millionaire', same version of 'Ocean Blue'.

Some of whats there makes some sense. The description of the version of '...Millionaire' on the promo pressing sounds like the original European single version. It has a different drum track, a completely different solo to the album version (synth rather than guitar) and there are backing vocals from someone with a rather weak female voice, presumably Eden. And of course 'Ocean Blue' was reworked, with strings, for a single. That version appears on many compilations and as a bonus track on the 2005 CD but the album version is always the album version. The censoring of 'A to Z' doesn't sound like something that would happen in Europe but I can imagine some US editions being amended to keep the big chain stores happy.

Looking through the history of the article I can see that the inconsistencies between the Released Editions section and the Personnel section arise from somebody editing the Released Editions without making the corresponding changes to the Personnel section.

I removed the Release Editions section per the Wikipedia: Be Bold doctrine as I believe it to be a hoax (and could find zero information that corroborated it).
