Hovrätt (Finnish: Hovioikeus) (literally "Royal Court")

How is that "literal"? Hov/hovi means in itself a royal court and rätt/oikeus in this context means a judicial court (otherwise it means 'justice' or literally-liyerally 'rightness'. So "literally" hovrätt/hovioikeus means a "court court". There's simply no good English translation for this, the most literal I can get is "hof right". Ultrix (talk) 05:32, 9 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Name edit

Courts of appeal is the name used by the Court itself: [1] Watti Renew (talk) 16:16, 29 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
