Significance
editI'm surprised to see such a decent article turned into a redirect. The episode heavily features a Grammy award-winning R&B artist, is the only episode of American Dad I've seen to be almost completely musical in nature, and parodies Little Shop of Horrors. I have no idea if the claims in the article, that the ep was intended to be the series finale since its future was in doubt, but that seems rather significant if true. Aside from Cee Lo's article, I've seen nothing related to American Dad noting his involvement here. At the very least I'd expect to see something in the footnote for the episode on Season 7. --Superlgn (talk) 04:29, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
- If this is what you call, I'll hate to see what you call a bad article. There was only one source in the article, and therefor nothing besides the plot could be considered reliable, and the plot summary itself was not written well. I'll add a footnote on the season 7 page about Cee Lo. JDDJS (talk) 04:36, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
- Perhaps if you quit interfering with those trying to making improvements to the article the quality would eventually meet your standards. --Superlgn (talk) 21:56, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
- Couldn't have said it better. Thanks Superlgn. Peacewecanmakeit (talk) 22:22, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

The article is NOT bad. It has a lot of significance, just like Superlgn is saying. Cee Lo Green happens to be a big R&B artist which isn't recognized much for this episode. I honestly agree and think it's ridiculous to redirect the article because of the way its written. It's still new for god sakes. Isn't wikipedia named for improvements from others? Redirecting the article is NOT an improvement, just a degression. Thanks. Peacewecanmakeit (talk) 05:59, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
- Hey guys, I'm the one who added the information about the show's staff thinking that this was going to be the last one and killed Stan off because of it. I neglected to add the citation link to the video on Hulu where they actually say this. I've corrected this and added the source link (They talk about right at the start of the video).J.E.Smith (talk) 02:16, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
This is not the series finale. One, there are more episodes scheduled. Two, series finales don't end in the beginning of the episode. Originally, the cast THOUGHT it would be. If you need a source, read here: http://www.aoltv.com/2011/09/26/cee-lo-green-hot-tub-of-horrors-american-dad-video/ Kjscotte34 (talk) 16:23, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
- Also, the section below the plot summary even states that the cast THOUGHT it would not be renewed. Considering there's a three show crossover episode scheduled for next week, please show some patience before declaring this show as over. Thank you. Kjscotte34 (talk) 16:27, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
Music
editI think we should list the songs that were sung in this episode, also making a reference that Steve and Roger's Song "Daddy's Gone" is released on itunes, i think we should add this little fact somewhere in this episode pageTVWolf (talk) 17:31, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
Wendy Schaal noted there were 7 pieces of music recorded for the episode in a production video on Fox. I'm not sure what the actual titles of the songs are (aside from Daddy's Gone) or where that information and writing credits would be published (if at all), but here's what I got from the episode:
- Dip a Toe (sung by Cee Lo Green)
- Hot Tub of Love (sung by Green, Seth McFarlane, Wendy Schaal, Scott Grimes)
- Do Whatever You Like (sung by Green, McFarlane, Schaal) / Creeping (Schaal)
- Daddy's Gone (iTunes single) (sung by Grimes, McFarlane)
- Doing Research
- Psychotic Hot Tub (sung by Green)
I assume Francine's "Creeping" solo in the middle of Do Whatever You Like accounts for all 7. A list would definitely be great, but I can't imagine putting something up without at least knowing their actual titles, and credits would be nice. --Superlgn (talk) 22:27, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
- There's also a remix of Hot Tub of Love played during the credits. --Superlgn (talk) 22:34, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
Mistake
editCurrently watching American Dad on Disney plus this episode is the premier of Season 8 not season 7.
