Fair use rationale for Image:Hot House Entertainment Logo.png

  Resolved

Image:Hot House Entertainment Logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

2007 David Awards

  Resolved

Hot House Exclusive Vinnie D’Angelo was named “Best American Performer” at this year’s David Awards in Berlin. Held this weekend in conjunction with the Venus Show, Europe’s largest adult industry trade expo, The David Awards recognize excellence in the gay adult industry. 2007 David Awards —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.230.104.73 (talk) 16:25, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

This link seems to help explain the situation (awards maybe compromised) and this link about the Grabby awards. Seems to contrast that with another awards show. Benjiboi 22:37, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

This information belongs in an article on the actor, not his studio. The actor won the award, not the studio. 71.127.236.108 22:49, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

you might want to back that up by first creating an article for the content you seem to want to have placed there. And awards for a studio as well as an artist is hardly problematic, in fact, I think it's industry standard. Benjiboi 22:59, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

The studio did not win the award, the actor won the award. This article is about the studio, not the actor. The studio did not win the award. 71.127.236.108 23:53, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

In the porn world especially they both get the credit, indeed if the studio didn't create the work then the actor couldn't get the award. I have to believe you simply find the subject not to your liking, respectfully suggest you consider focusing on articles you do find of interest. Benjiboi 00:08, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

You cannot list the award as won by the studio if it was not won by the studio. This is not difficult to fathom. The studio did not win the award; you cannot say that it won an award which it did not win. To list it here as an award it won is to say it won the award, which it did not. The actor won the award, not the studio. How many other ways can this be said before you understand? 71.127.236.108 00:29, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
You are mistaken. See for example Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, it's a studio that lists as part of their accmplishments how many awards its films have won - Its film library has received 208 Academy Awards, one of the largest award winning collections in the world. This is standard practice. Benjiboi 00:36, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
You have just made my point: you say it lists how many awards its films have won, not the actors making those films. If an MGM film had won an award, then MGM had won the award. If an MGM actor had won an award, then the actor had won the award. Besides, Hot House Entertainment is no MGM. If a Hot House film has won an award, then HH has won the award; if a HH actor has won an award, then the actor has won an award. You cannot list an award won by an actor as an award won by the studio. 71.127.236.108 02:10, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
I'm really quite stunned the hold this award seems to have. I have made the point that both the studio and the actor can take credit for an award that they work together to win. Both article can certainly list and your insistence otherwise suggests some other agenda but I have no idea what that is. If the actor has an article we could certainly list it there as well and just as MGM lists awards their many films have received so can Hot House. Benjiboi 03:47, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
You're stunned? I've expressed in so many ways why we cannot list an award won by an actor in an article about a studio, but you still "seem" uanble to grasp what I'm saying, or you're pretending. MGM may list the awards its films have won, but those are awards won by its films. The award you want to list in this article was not won by the studio or its films, it was won by an actor with the studio for his acting in a film or films. Again, the actor won the award, not the studio. It was an award given to an actor for his acting, not to a studio for what its actors produced. Does that make it easier for you to understand? 72.76.6.199 15:55, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
You've simply restated the same thing (actor won award for film not the studio that produced same) repeatedly with no precedents and now you're removing referenced content. Please move on unless you're a gay porn expert and you have some insight that negates industry standards. Benjiboi 21:00, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
And I suppose you fancy yourself an expert on gay porn? If an award is won by an individual, if it conferred on an individual, than that individual won it, not the organization within whose framework he performed to win the award. You talk through your hat, to achieve your desired goal: inclusion of information that is not true, i.e., ascribing a win to an organization and not the individual who won it. 72.76.6.199 21:43, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
We'll have to agree to disagree. Luckily I've been able to re-confirm that all awards won by a studios filmography is generally bundled together as studio wins. This is standard industry practice in mainstream and porn industry and gay porn industry. Benjiboi 17:33, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
