I approve of merging, the two pages discuss the same phenomenon.Bouke 19:49, 11 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I found the given example not explaining enough, so I replaced it with another one. If you liked the former one better, feel free to bring it back. I also linked the last paragraph to the Quiescence search topic. Chjoodge 17:50, 4 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

End sentence of first paragraph edit

I’m having trouble parsing this sentence: “Beside obligatory quiescence search, extensions, specially check extensions are designed to reduce horizon effects.”

The only way I can make sense of it is the following: “BesideS the obligatory quiescence search, extensions, Especially check extensions, are designed to reduce horizon effects.”

I’m not going to make changes based on supposition, however. Jd.varner44 (talk) 19:11, 18 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

I am tempted to revert the article to the version of April 2021. The lead section was far from perfect then but I think it was better than what we have now. – Tea2min (talk) 09:51, 2 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
