As the article correctly states, it is known in English as Hook of Holland. I would, therefore, like to suggest to move the article to Hook of Holland. --128.176.21.239 13:16, 2 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

"Corner" or "Hook"

edit

I have BOLDly reverted back to the name of "Hook" of Holland as the name "Corner" of Holland seems to be misleading, as it is not the real "corner" of Holland, which is closer to Middelburg than the "Hook". <<< SOME GADGET GEEK >>> (talk) 22:27, 4 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hook of Holland....is a beach village in the southwestern corner of Holland doesn't seem right. The coast of the province of South Holland continues further to the southwest until it reaches the Grevelingen, and it seems that the "corner" would be the old village of Ouddorp. I haven't ventured an alternative formulation, as I couldn't think of a simple way to put it - the text about the etymology is already somewhat convoluted, and should probably be covered in a small section of the article-proper rather than the Lead - Davidships (talk) 15:45, 15 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
