Image

I want to add an image for Homura but Idk how to do it. Can someone help me? I already added a picture created by Shaft but then it has been deleted, why? Deidaramonroe (talk) 14:33, 14 August 2016 (UTC)

The image was uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, where only freely usable images are allowed. Homura's character design is copyrighted by Shaft, so hosting it on Commons would be an infringement of that copyright. You can upload the image to Wikipedia directly, though, under fair use. To do so, click "upload file" in the toolbar on the left and follow the instructions there. Be sure to make the image a bit smaller and lower quality. Wikipedia takes copyright much stricter than most other websites, which is a hassle compared to fanwikis, but makes sure that everything on the website really is free. ~Mable (chat) 14:52, 14 August 2016 (UTC)

In order to ping someone, you can write {{Ping|Maplestrip}} ^_^ - as for a rewrite, I notable didn't write an "Appearances" section back when I started this article, for two reasons. For one, to me, it breaks my standards of No Original Research, as I would like to source everything in an article to secondary sources. Moreover, I just don't enjoy writing these kinds of sections. That being said, a rewrite sounds good. Do you have any ideas in mind? Thank you! :) Okay, Madoka Magica is one of my favorite anime and I loved the main characters very much especially Homura so my goal is to make her article into a GA status but the problem is I'm still not fluent in English. :( The "Appearances" section isn't well written, the "Development" section is lacking so much informations and the "Reception" section suffers quite a lot (example "A described Homura "great etc")... Homura's sexuality

I decided to remove the LGBT category, at least temporarily, since the article does not contain a single source or mention of her sexuality except for the categories themselves, and Urobochi himself called their relationship "love without sexual desire". Given the popularity of such interpretations of the show, I have no doubt that such sources can be found, but at the moment it is nothing more than original research. Rewrite the article

Again, this article is very bad and needs a rewrite. I'll write my problems with this article again:

1) "Development" lacks informations. Homura is a very popular character so finding sources about her creation and all can be very easy.

2) "Appearances" is empty at best. I'm sure if we help each other and write it then we can finish it with no problem.

3) "Characterization and themes" looks okay. It just needs an expansion, that's all.

4) "Media" must be under the appearances section and change it to "In other media". Needs an expansion too.

5) "Reception" is badly written. "Zac Bertschy wrote blah blah" "Ryotaro Aoki wrote blah" ???? Needs a rewrite.

Please rewrite the "Reception" section, seeing a WatchMojo top ten cited therein among other "critics" is really cringy. I've not removed it myself since I'm not sure if it would be considered inappropriate to remove only a single entry from the list. It definitely needs to be tidied up. These sources directly aren't usable, as they are user-generated. We need some sources which are reliable. Do you have any of those? They are hard to come by in English, and Google Translate does not work well with Asian languages (and I personally don't even know where to start looking). If you could help with translation, maybe we could use some of the latter. (English proficiency is not necessary.) If you are uncomfortable contributing in English, maybe one of the other Wikipedias listed at d:Q11514862#sitelinks-wikipedia will better suit you and then another person can work on translation. --Izno (talk) 23:14, 11 June 2018 (UTC)

Clean up

Hey guys, I'm back! My gosh...I haven't checked this article for a really long time and when I come back it's still the same? You kidding guys?

Okay this article really needs a clean up. It's empty, badly-written, and the reception section is all over the place. I have no idea what to do to save this poor article so somebody better do something or at least help me, please. Why create this article in the first place when you never wanted to write about the character? Just to make the character look bad?

If we discuss on how to improve the article, then hopefully we can pass it to GA status, someday.

First thing that's needed is a picture, a screenshot. I think I'll find a good one to use so maybe I'll upload it later. Now, we should mainly focus on the development section. And once we're done, we can clean the reception section cause god, it looks so bad. It's ruining the article. And "themes" section can be expanded later. Appearances section would be the last to edit! So please guys, help me to make this into a good article. Then I can edit Madoka's too and create for the other characters, they also need some love! Picture: I know that it's difficult to find a picture without violating copyright etc, but currently, the image of Homura is not what shee appears in the series. That render is for the game, Madoka Portable. Is it okay if I remove it now? Oh I'm very sorry then! I'll see if I can create an account but I really should make one. So can we create an article for the other characters too please? They really do deserve to have an article on Wiki! Maybe we can first write their reception section and keep their article here for a while, once we're done with Homura's article we can go back to the them and improve them all. Also, Homura'a article really do have a potential to improve and become a GA status, just look at the links I added, there's still many many more! I'll add them later. So please, if we work together we definitely can improve all of Madoka character's article. After that happens, I'm also planning on creating an article for Magia Record characters but first I'll wait for the anime adaptation so that we can get an interviews, popularity polls and such.

While reading some analysis of Homura, critics/journalists compared Homura's character at the end of Rebellion to that of Satan of Paradise Lost. I am really trying so hard to transform Homura into a good article. How am I doing so far? Thoughts? Suggestions? I know the article is nowhere near nomination status but I would just like to have some thoughts on this article and some suggestions. Also, how's the reception section? Did it improve? Just looking through it quickly, I can say the Development section can use some work, the Appearances section may be a bit too detailed, but the Reception section is excellently extensive. So I just archived the whole page and left two topics only. After few days/or maybe even weeks, I will my best to write and expand the development section. Firstly, I will try to expand the other sections, and do some clean-up. Right now, I'm going to mostly focus on Kyubey's article for now since he's so much easier to write, and then maybe Madoka's too. Then I will also try to create articles for Sayaka, Kyoko and Mami.
