Homsar seemed fine before he was crushed by that giant weight. He was assumed dead, until it was revealed that he was merely severly injured when he thanked Marzipan for sending him flowers "when [he] was in the hospital." After that, he is presented as only being able to speak in incoherent non sequiturs. My theory is that the head injury he suffered gave him some sort of tramuatic amnesia condition that resulted in a kind of neo-schizophrenic speech disorder, and made it impossible for him to say anything sensible. But this is just from a medical standpoint—it's probably just a suspension of disbelief that he survived, and his nonsensical speech was just for fun by the writers. --VolatileChemical 05:29, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)

What do you mean "fine?" He said 6 words before he got crushed. And he still had that same voice. I see what you mean, but Homsar still occasionally says sensical phrases. "I do as 'ahm told" -- Da Huuudge 15:56, 5 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

What does voice have to do with it? I'm talking about his mental health here. And the way he said I do as I'm told sounds more like a quote than anything, which is mostly all he can speak it, corrupted quotes and sayings. --VolatileChemical 03:32, 10 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Actually, if you take a look at the HRWiki's article about the detailed analysis of his speech patterns, you'll see that he can and does relate well to happenings and surroundings, although he is often quite random. There are many other sensical phrases he says, such as "Hey Reggie! Is that rhinoceros around?" Although he doesn't get SB's name right, he speaks in perfect English there. Or, "I'm forever your girl." Considering he was just transformed into Modestly Hot Homsar, that makes perfect sense too. 70.44.146.95 01:19, 15 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
Only on the internet would Homsar's manner of speech be considered relating well to your surroundings.74.135.221.13 11:33, 21 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Strong Sad and Homsar

edit

This article says Strong Sad is Homsar's friend. I have never seen any mention of this in Homestar Runner. Could someone tell me where they sourced this from? --Matjlav 00:12, 31 July 2005 (UTC) its stated somewhere on the website that they play board games together Lord Temmie (talk) 17:06, 6 May 2021 (UTC) Lord TemmieReply

The HRWiki's undergoing its end of month "exceeded transfer quota", so I'm going to have to do this from memory. In interview, the writer asked Strong Bad to interview Homsar, and Homsar later shows up looking for Strong Sad. They're also seen playing Connect Four in Where's The Cheat? -- Cyrius| 00:32, 31 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

In Interview, Homsar came in and asked for "that rhinosorous," which Strong Bad interpreted (correctly, I believe) as for Stong Sad. He also called, in time machine, telling Strong Sad that he was "a million ladies tall." I'd say there's some sort of friendship between the two.--The Saxon 17:05, 12 April 2007 (UTC)--The Saxon 19:30, 31 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Raised by a cup of coffee

edit

Should it be worth noting that Homsar never actually said the phrase "I was raised by a cup of coffee"? Best I can recall, it was Strong Bad who uttered the phrase in imitation of Homsar in sbemail 62. SchuminWeb (Talk) 15:25, 7 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

No, it shouldn't. Homsar never directly said it himself, so it shouldn't be credited to him.70.44.146.95 01:15, 15 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Homsar does say he was raised by a cup of coffee in the haunted photo booth Lord Temmie (talk) 17:08, 6 May 2021 (UTC) Lord TemmieReply
