Image edit

I would attempt to upload an image for this episode after it airs, but, since the image I uploaded for the previous episode was replaced, it would seem that my contributions are being made redundant. NorthernThunder 10:12, 19 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please don't get discouraged - I think you'll find that if your contribution is the most compelling image, it will be the one that gets used. --Ckatzchatspy 10:21, 19 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Khaos probably repalced yours because it was square.. it should be widescreen/letterboxy thanks/Fenton, Matthew Lexic Dark 52278 Alpha 771 18:48, 22 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

List of Heroes edit

Can someone get the list of Heroes that was listed on Mohinder's father's computer? Tazzy531 03:45, 21 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

You can't see it very well, but if you look closely at the bottom of the list under Hiro's name, you can see the location "Midland, TX." This presumably would be Charlie, but you can't actually say the name. But it could be added if so desired. MahlerFan 16:09, 21 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Seems rather readable to me, actually. chucker 16:53, 21 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Based on this, I added some names to the chart in the episode page. On this discussion page there's a list that has more names, but without seeing the actual photo I"m reluctant to add more. Novastarj 00:34, 22 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I've just got to note there's a typo on the computer screen. The correct name of the town for "Curtis Hovsepian" (if those are meant to be real towns) is not Grant Pass, Oregon but Grants Pass, Oregon

The interesting thing about this list is that aside from the dead people, all but one person are located in the US. If it weren't for Hiro, then it would look like we were just looking at the American page, but with a single exception in the middle it seems especially inconsistent with the pins in the map, which cover the world more evenly. Also, while it may well be convention in the US to list US states without the country and countries without states or provinces for the rest of the world, Chandra isn't American and began with interests outside of the US. Can something be read into that? --ToobMug 00:07, 29 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

peter edit

why did they arrest him

A cheerleader murdered + guy covered in blood = prime suspect. The cops mentioned something about the janitor reporting a dead cheerleader. Tazzy531 08:33, 21 November 2006 (UTC) oic. thanx :o)Reply

NBC Promo edit

So for the past week, NBC has been promoting this show as the one to watch because you'll finally find out what "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World" means. Did I miss it or something, but I don't think that was answered. Highly disappointing Tazzy531 08:35, 21 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Actually, I think they mainly just said that you'll finally see "the event you've been waiting for", which is that depicted in the paintings of the cheerleader. And we saw it, and the cheerleader was saved, we just don't know what it means yet. --Maelwys 12:38, 21 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
One of the theories is that Sylar absorbs the power of the people he kills. if he would of killed claire then he would of been invincible. so, i think in that sense they saved the world.
Are you kidding, Tazzy? Of course it answered it! Homecoming came and went, and the event happened, and she's still alive. You're confusing the event with her true destiny. Her destiny will be revealed in due time. It's only a hour show, after all. dposse 00:44, 22 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

picture edit

is is just my messed up computer, or is the picture in the infobox really dark? dposse 20:45, 11 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

It's dark on my system, too. If I hadn't have seen the episode, I'd have no idea what I was looking at. Primogen 20:58, 11 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
I could Photoshop it a bit and upload a new version ... but I'm not sure it will make a big difference. Will try. You guys decide. David Spalding (  ) 00:22, 23 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
Done. Let me know if that helps. -- David Spalding (  ) 03:15, 23 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Battlestar tee shirt edit

While the camera pans over the bleachers during the initial teaser (Zach and Claire walk out with lunch, Mohesh does his voiceover thang), one of hte kids is wearing a Battlestar Galactica shirt. Co-exec producer Bryan Fuller worked with BG producer Ronald D. Moore on Star Trek. Too arcane for trivia? David Spalding (  ) 00:22, 23 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Zach "coming out of the closet". edit

There is no evidence that NBC or the writers decided to suddenly change Zachs sexual preferences in the middle of the season. The website referenced lists no evidence, just implications. It says "which have repeatedly insinuated, implied and led most viewers to believe that the character is gay" and "how many straight teens love Priscilla: Queen of the Desert, Velvet Goldmine, and Hedwig and the Angry Inch?". This is not evidence, this is just the opinion of some guy. The reason we do not allow blogs as references is just for this reason. Unless someone can actually find a reliable source that says that NBC or the writers decided to change him, and not just vauge implications, this infomation cannot be included here. dposse 01:11, 27 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Second this. Wikipedia tries to be informative and great way to spread verifible data. However, "Mr. X thinks this" doesn't count. Unless a reliable source can be found stating that the gay/straight issue came down to NBC decision, it shouldn't be stated in the article. Ace Class Shadow; My talk. 01:39, 27 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
I agree that unfortunately blogs are not normally reliable sources. We do have a news article from the website of the Pittsburg Post-Gazette, which counts as a reliable source, stating Kring originally intended for Zach to be gay. However, no one has found a reliable source that Zach was supposed to come out this episode. If a reliable source is found, then we can discuss adding that information back into the article, whether in Trivia or elsewhere. For more info about editing in regards to Zach's sexuality, please peruse the Zach's Homosexuality discussion on the main article's Talk page as well as the entry about Zach on the character article. - fmmarianicolon | Talk 04:29, 27 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

First, blogs are reliable sources, except for personal blogs, which this is not. See WP:V. Second, the source linked to does indeed lay out the evidence at hand, complete with confirmation from the show producers that the sexuality of the character was changed. Read all three pages. This has already been established, BTW, on the List of Heroes Characters page, with further references. --Measure 06:14, 27 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

My bad, it was a link to a second article on the site that had the producer giving confirmation of the change in sexuality. I think there is enough evidence that the rumor should stay in this article, but I won't actively fight it further. --Measure 06:19, 27 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
The NBC site itself described Zach coming out in the episode summary for Homecoming, it was changed later. There are multiple statements directly from Kring about this, I don't know how much more "reliable" you can get. --Milo H Minderbinder 14:21, 27 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
Right now, i believe that we have it firmly established that Zachs sexual preferences were confused at best. I don't think anymore is needed, since his sexuality is not a huge part to the character of Zach, or the Heroes universe. dposse 16:17, 27 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
(Edit conflict, d'oh!) While Kring is certainly reliable, we need a source for verification. So far I have been unable to find a news or web article which states he said Zach was coming out in "Homecoming". If you can find a source, then we can add it back to the article. If the NBC site stated that Zach was to come out, perhaps you can use the Wayback Machine or WebCite to get the archived URL for it. - fmmarianicolon | Talk 16:43, 27 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
The issue is worth a mention since it has created some controversy, which has been picked up by other publications. --Milo H Minderbinder 21:38, 27 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
I'm not disagreeing that it's worth a mention, nor am I disagreeing that many publications covered the controversy. The problem is that noone has provided a specific citable source (whether webpage, newspaper article, magazine article, podcast, or TV interview) that specifically states Kring or the writers intended to have Zach come out as gay this particular episode. Heck, I'll even help put it in one of the citation templates format if you want the help, but we can't do that until we've got the specific source. - fmmarianicolon | Talk 22:20, 27 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
I personally don't think it's relevant. Most current students who happen to be bullied a lot have been accused of homosexuality more times than one may care to count. I, a heterosexual, used to be accused of homosexuality too and I, like Zach, just said that I don't care because I know what I am.Stone11375 13:57, 29 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Trivia section edit

Removed the comment about Sylar with "untidy hair and a full beard", as it is later established that Mr. Bennet gave him a haircut, and the amount of time that apparently passes between the episodes is more than enough time for Sylar to grow some facial hair (it was far less than "full beard", it was simply heavy stubble). Reasoning: the comment was written as if it was a blooper and not deliberate. 203.14.180.97 09:14, 28 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

List of Heroes - Spoilers! edit

The list of Heroes has "Deceased" next to alot of the characters that are alive at the end of this particular episode!

I presume those are spoilers, and of they are I'm annoyed. The individual episodes shouldn't contain information about further episodes. Not without a spoiler warning, at least! Eastlygod 00:07, 17 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I think that the problem lies in the layout of the list. There are several instances where the fourth column has "deceased" and the first column has the name of a character who is active in the show. However, the "deceased" refers to the names in the third row. Hope this helps. --Ckatzchatspy 00:20, 17 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
I See now, thank you. I didn't look too much into the table, thinking it contained spoilers, and I'm a little behind, watching the BBC run in the UK at the moment. Thanks for clearing it up. Eastlygod 11:52, 26 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Goof Question. edit

I've just been watching this episode on DVD and at approximately 37:36 - 37:39 I think Claire (Hayden Panettiere) say's 'Dad it was terrible, Jack you should...' to Noah (Jack Coleman). She could be saying something about the character 'Jackie' who had just been killed but I think it sounds more like Jack.

I can't be certain though, anyone else notice it? Syko Conor (talk) 02:18, 15 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
