Couldn't this entry be merged with Japanese calligraphy? edit

After all that section should bring out the unique aspects of Japanese calligraphy and clearly the way of the brush is Zen. Also there is a bit of history in this stub and that could augment what is in the Japanese calligraphy and that entry could do with being strengthed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by LezJ (talkcontribs) 21:52, 12 January 2009 (UTC) 79.72.90.185 (talk) 12:37, 18 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Clear separtion of articles: calligraphy / hitsuzendo edit

I have simplified the "calligraphy" section and linked the main article Japanese calligraphy. Therefore there is now less redundancy and less danger of this article becoming a contents fork. It can now be very productively focussed on the philosophical and spiritual aspects of hitsuzendo, while historical zen calligraphy and wayo/karayo are being covered in Japanese calligraphy. Translation? edit

I can not see the relation of 筆禅道 with "art of the brush." Perhaps I am missing something. It seems to me to read "Zen brush," interpreting 禅道 as "Zen." I suppose you could go with "the brush of the way of Zen," but that seems awkward. But, as I said, maybe I am missing something. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:DA8:6014:A05:3494:E3F9:F9BE:7708 (talk) 10:05, 6 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Can there be more links to Buddhist concepts? edit

...because the article as it is looks high as a kite. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.70.219.249 (talk) 20:10, 21 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
