Need help on car classifications edit

What do the vehicle prefixes "B", "L", "M", "H" stand for? I know that "TX" stands for taxicab, "T" stands for a truck, "MC" for a motorcycle, and "UV" for utility vehicle. Kevzspeare (talk) 07:40, 16 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Change of plates for change of classification edit

From what I've read on an LTO issuance (Administrative order AVT-2014-025) that says vehicles changing from a private to for hire classification will not be issued new plates with the second letter between V and Y.

Section 2 of AVT-2014-025 amends Sec. 2 of Administrative Order 96-001, and it now reads "In case of change classification, the same alpha and numeric symbols of the plate number under the previous classification shall be retained."

From that I understand that there will be no longer separate series for for-hire vehicles and that it will blend with the standard-issue plates.

This AVT-2014-025 is not yet superseded, so it remains in effect.
