Possible turkic etymology
editis Teke actually from sanskrit, or could it be related to the turkic / mongol words related to weights, balances, and money? see the kazakhstani tenge, for example. the Teke was introduced to India by turkic rulers. obviously there has been a lot of exchange between these language families. 2603:7000:9300:77:44AB:688B:9DFC:E69A (talk) 04:30, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
