Agree that the article should be renamed. But I think the appropriate name should be History of the Republic of Turkey, this mirrors the name of many "History of the Republic of ..." articles in Wikipedia (see [1]). History of Turkey should include more ancient history, for instance, the Ottoman Empire. LK (talk) 08:29, 19 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
I realized that this article lacks references, once my contribution about Kadınlar Halk Fırkası was seen as inaccurate and deleted. Therefore I have updated my contr. with references included. I think we should do the same thing for other facts given. - Zirowerdy, 13 Feb 2007
