History of marriage in Great Britain and Ireland edit

Though this article is titled 'History of marriage in Great Britain and Ireland' it solely deals with England and Scotland, maybe add more material or rename it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.37.122.99 (talk) 10:01, 5 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Proposed retitle edit

While it contains some interesting information, as it stands the article is not really a "history of marriage" as it only addresses the period c.1200 to c.1500 in England, and then a similar timeframe in Scotland with a few references to the early 19th century. As it's predominantly about the practice of handfasting, should it be renamed to Handfasting, and then the Neopagan term can continue to be a redirect at the top?
