History of warilla warfare by continent edit

This article seems to be overly organized in a continental basis. This approach migh be appropiate for pre 20th centuty guerrillas but in the last 100 years guerrilla warfare is a global phenomenon with tactics, strategies and combatants crossing oceans to engage in guerrilla warfare. Khalistani insurgency edit

It was not much important to add it here, where is Tamil Guerilla war fare in Sri Lanka, El Salvador civil war, Nepalese civil war? These are more important to add here.Ovsek (talk) 18:58, 10 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Partisans edit

Don't confuse partisan warfare with guerrilla warfare. Guerrillas still fight as orderly soldiers abiding to laws of war, while partisans don't, e.g. pretend to be civilians, torture and murder prisoners, etc. Essentially partisans are criminals. --105.8.5.75 (talk) 13:24, 26 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

USA Centric edit

The section about North America Colonial Wars ends with the sentence “ The British military establishment began adopting some of the tactics of La Petite Guerre as "light infantry."[21]” Then, the following section about the American revolution continues with the myth that only patriots fought as Guerrillas. It is filled with references to Patriot leaders, and lacks any mention of Loyalist militia. Later, the section about the war of 1812 continues this pattern including the frequent unreferenced comment that the American militia “did not fight like gentlemen but firing from concealed positions behind trees and rocks.“ Fighters under the Indian Department on the Canadian side are ignored. These sections would benefit from a dose of balanced history. Humphrey Tribble (talk) 22:42, 1 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

No mention of Maccabeans? edit

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maccabean_Revolt has multiple references to the page on Guerrilla Warfare. Why is it not mentioned here? NathanZook (talk) 21:14, 13 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
