Question, mostly for my own interests: the 1972/73 Currie Cup points table that I found on Cricket Archive shows Eastern Province in first place on 85, Transvaal and Western Province tied on 83, and Rhodesia on 79. I can find plenty of references to the Wilmot walk-off costing Rhodesia the cup, but I can't find any explanation why Transvaal won the Cup outright despite being tied for second on the points table. Can anyone explain? Aspirex (talk) 12:04, 1 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I've found another reference which gives the points as Transvaal 84, E.P. 84, W.P. 83, Rhodesia 79, and states Transvaal won the cup on account of having more outright victories. Aspirex (talk) 12:23, 1 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

It's very inconvenient and poor editorial practice to have the history broken up into separate pages in this way. The histories of entire countries have a single source page with links to more specific articles within it.82.33.50.176 (talk) 18:40, 14 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
