The creator of this article lived on Lake Wawasee from 1955 through 1969.... first on the north shore, on the south shore between the South Shore Country Club and the old Waco lakeside restaurant. I also lived on the north side across the road from The Crow's Nest. Some accounts come from my memories while living on the lake. Noles1984 14:38, 12 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sources are extremely limited on the history of Lake Wawasee. As noted, much of the historical information comes from Eli Lilly, grandson of the founder of Eli Lilly and Company published a limited edition book, Early Wawasee Days: Traditions, Tales and Memories Concerning that Delectable Spot, Lake Wawasee.
