In general, this page does not focus narrowly enough on nationality, and contains a lot of material about Italian history that is also available elsewhere.
A short (one-to-three sentence) introduction at the start of the article would be useful.
The article contains a good deal of general historical information that does not pertain directly to nationality. Consider the relevance of each sentence, and remove what is unnecessary.
I'm not sure that your chronological structure always works. The "Age of Parliament" section, for example, deals almost entirely with voting rights--maybe it would make more sense to rework this section to focus on that issue.
Language discussion is interesting.
Give your own description of Italian nationality law, then give its history (which is not available at the linked site).
I would agree about that; it looks as if it concentrates on voting and civil rights more than nationality. So I will move it to have citizenship in the title --Rumping (talk) 10:14, 8 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
