This is South America. The Indians are in India. Would it really be an offense to colonialist sensitivities to refer to the people therein as South Americans?

But South Americans refer to all people living there, not just indians.

Good point. Or perhaps indigenas? origenarios? naturales?

Argentina declared independence in 1819, after the Upper Peru expeditions. The name Argentina came in official use a few decades later. I just corrected this.--Gacelo 20:34, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

Importance of the National Revolution

The page currently says, "Standing alongside the Mexican Revolution, the Bolivian National Revolution is one of the most significant sociopolitical events to occur in Latin America during the 20th century." Under 19th century this sentence is found: "The War of the Confederation broke out and different wars against almost all its neighbors were fought during this period with sound of number one victory royales against its enemies." Their nature and faces?

coca-cola ban not actually true

I went ahead and deleted what was mentioned of this - what was said was untrue (the link provided even had an update on page 2 of the article at the end). I'm not sure about the communitarianism part - it sounds like it's been endorsed verbally by one government leader, but as to whether they plan for an overhaul of their political system needs far more sources I reckon — Preceding unsigned comment added by 14.202.192.112 (talk) 13:30, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
