"Which" tag on tournament claim

When I added the tag to the below sentence (removed by EriFr in this edit), I was hoping to see which specific competitions were considered most prestigious, and a citation for the "first and so far only" claim. Not a big deal, just adding this comment for clarification.

"[SC Dynamo Berlin] became the first and so far only football club in Berlin to have reached the semi-finals of the most prestigious European club competitions..." Exobiotic (talk) 13:18, 29 May 2023 (UTC)

@Exobiotic: Hi! I'm sorry. I made a mistake there. The most presitious UEFA club competitions should be the Europan Cup/UEFA Champions League and the European Cup Winners' Cup/UEFA Cup Winners' Cup. Unfortunately, I can't find the source of the statement for now. It is likely that the statement originally comes from a translation of German Wikipedia. However, the statement is true (none of the other three big clubs in Berlin after 1955 - Hertha BSC, ASK/FC Vorwärts Berlin and 1. FC Union Berlin have, as of 2022, gone further than the quarter-finals in the two competitions) and the statement is very easy to verify. The players of the former Dresden team had aged by the late 1950s

@Exobiotic: I know that my English skills are not always the best. There is a risk that I write sentences that can be misunderstood. But I'm thinking about these sentences: "Schröter and Herbert Maschke were still central players on the team in the early 1960s. Still, the former Dynamo Dresden team players had aged by the late 1950s." Before they were rewritten it read: "Schröter and Herbert Maschke would still be central players in the team in the early 1960s. But the players of the former SG Dynamo Dresden team had aged by the late 1950s." I just want to make sure that the previous sentences were not misunderstood. The source (Eleven Pigs) says that most players of the former Dresden had started to age (which allegedly, together with lack of capable replacements, led to the relegation in 1967). Steffen Karas provides detailed statistics for all seasons in his book. Most players transferred from Dresden were between 25 and 30 years old in the 1954-55 season. By the late 1950s, most of those players were not longer active in the DDR-Oberliga. Of the 22 playes in the 1954-55 team, only four players remained in the 1959 team (Schröter, Maschke, Heiner and Karl Schäffner - However, Heine did not come from Dresden). But Schröter and Maschke (who both had a background in Dynamo Dresden) would still remain central players in the in 1962-63 season. They were actuallly the two most most capped players in the team in the 1961-62 season (league and cup). Masche was 31 years old and Schröter 34 years old at the start of the 1961-62 season. It's a bit of an awkward set of sentences, because the second sentence refers to an earlier time (50s vs 60s). It might be best to totally reword and combine into one, like

"Despite being in their 30s [thirties?] by the early 1960s, Schröter and Herbert Maschke would still be central players on the team at that time." Exobiotic 💬 ✒️ 20:54, 13 June 2023 (UTC)

Thank you. What do you think about this? I have tried to arrange the sentences more chronologically: "Günter Schröter was a key player at Dynamo Berlin throughout the 1950s. He was the second best league goalscorer in the 1955 and 1959 DDR-Oberliga. Schröter scored all five goals for Dynamo Berlin in the 5–0 win over SC Lokomotiv Leipzig in the ninth matchday of the 1959 DDR-Oberliga on 10 May 1959. However, the players from the former Dynamo Dresden team had aged, and by the end of the 1950s most were no longer active in the team. The team would now instead be shaped by players such as Martin Skaba, Werner Heine and Waldemar Mühlbächer. The three were recruited in 1955–1956 and belonged to a new generation of players who did not come from Dynamo Dresden. Other central players who had joined the team in the late 1950s were Hermann Bley and Konrad Dorner.
