Factual Error

"Narayana Guru, Sant Enadinatha, Sant Ilakkulaccanrar, Sant Tiruppana were all Sudra"

Narayana Guru belongs to Ezhava caste which is out of caste system in chaturvarnya system. Nairs were considered to be Sudras in Kerala and since Ezhavas occupied a position lower to Nairs in the chaturvarnya system, Ezhavas cannot be considered as Sudras. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.199.213.130 (talk) 09:00, 7 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Amruthanandamayi's section seems to be very inappropriate here in this article as she is not universally accepted by Keralites as their representative. It is not fair to have her photograph next to Guruvayoorappan's picture. Recommend to remove the section containing her data. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.164.105.149 (talk) 12:34, 2 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Amruthanandamayi's section

Her article makes her sound fairly notable in regard to the subject of this article. It's true, though, that the source cited for the text about her in this article is a dead link -- that must either be fixed, or else that text can legitimately be deleted as unsourced. I will have a closer look at her article to see if I can find a valid source to use for her here. Please note that not being "universally accepted by Keralites" is not necessarily sufficient reason in itself to remove this text.

Removed offending term

edit

I have removed the offending term Sudra (which means unclean/ unhygeinic). The entire section should be removed, just because it is unreferenced and added just to insult another community. This is the original version of the article, which has been vandalized continuously for the last several days. 14.98.1.163 (talk) 16:14, 9 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
