Why is this page categorized under "limited-access roads in Israel"? As far as I understand, limited-access roads are highways depicted blue on the maps, and Road 60 is not a highway. Any opinions? Image of me (talk) 00:13, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

West Bank?

There has been a lot of reverting back and forwards over the West Bank statement in the introduction. Can we decide wether the road is in the West Bank or not? Jorgesca (talk) 17:42, 28 March 2010 (UTC)

Fixed - Geographical Error

I noticed that the article indicated that Route 60 intersected with Emek Refaim St. in Jerusalem. The sentence was kind of weird in its wording and must have been written by someone who lives in Haifa! (No offense to Haifa, I love Haifa.) But seriously, look at a map, take a drive, observe the street signs. While the road does come near the head of the Emek Refaim 'Valley' near Jerusalem's old train station, it definitely does not intersect Emek Refaim St.

While I was at it, I better described the narrow section which passes the Old City, giving note to the important tourist/historical spots along the way. I thought they deserved some attention. @Efrat (talk) 06:58, 15 July 2011 (UTC)

Junctions

Route 60 has it all! City streets, superhighway sections, 2-lane winding mountain roads, traffic lights, uncontrolled intersections, highway interchanges, traffic circles, bridges, tunnels, light rail train tracks and stations, green lines, security checkpoints, Arab towns, Jewish towns, bypasses, illegal settlements, sections open or closed to yellow license plates, sections open or closed to green license plates. The road takes a tour through Israeli and Palestinian life (and dispute).

I thought the road deserved a complete listing of its junctions through its entire length. Many junctions have been left unnamed. This is not to say they don't have a name, I just couldn't find one on a map. If, for example, the junctions at As-Sawiya or Rechelim are called (by everyone) As-Sawiya Junction and Rechalim Junction, then by all means, lets include those names. Many junctions have 'local road' listed in the 'Roads Crossed' column. I expect that most of these roads have names which will be added. Within the cities, many of the junctions are named plazas, usually named after a person. Many of these names need to be added as well.

Note that throughout Jerusalem the location is the neighborhood. This needs to be done as well in Afula and Beersheba (if the various industrial zones in Beersheba have separate names - at least one does). The road itself has various names along the way (shown in purple). I do not know the names of the sections between the Ramallah Bypass and Wadi ash-Sha'ir Road, the section just north of Beersheba and a few others. The names need to be inserted. The list gives indications of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict (eg, checkpoints, road closures, etc.) without discussion. This is after all a list. Discussions of political ramifications belong in the body of the article (as is already the case).
