I dited this page to remove an obvious bias towards Hawaii. It is odd to focus so storngly on such a tiny part of the plant's range, particularly when the planty is a feral weed there. It's a bit like having an article on oak trees and focussing primarily on New Zealand.

As the tree is widely cultivated in Hawaii (notably in its variegated cultivar), it can hardly be described as necessarily a "feral weed." Kostaki mou (talk) 04:16, 3 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure wheather people in the other places treat the plant as a feral plant. Anyway, it is a beatiful flower and brings a lot of fun in my life. Aurora borealis ephemeron (talk) 12:05, 17 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Variegated cultivar edit

In Hawaii (at least) there is a widely planted ornamental cultivar with large white and red splotches on the leaves. Does anyone know where and when this striking variety originated? Kostaki mou (talk) 21:55, 13 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

One l or two? edit

I strongly suspect it's one. Could someone correct the title? (I don't know how.) Kostaki mou (talk) 01:09, 10 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

I agree. The latin Tilia is written with one l. Some admin should correct the lemma. I've corrected tiliaceus all over the text.--Cantakukuruz (talk) 09:44, 28 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
