Somebody doesn't want the public to know what really happened to the HPFD...Baldwin91006 (talk) 03:05, 8 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Best City? edit

I followed the link to travelandleisure and found that Hesperia was not on the list. Is this a lie or am I missing something? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.182.0.238 (talk) 11:28, 28 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Rental discrimination lawsuit edit

The issues discussed in this Los Angeles Times article ought to be added here. Winton, Richard (2019-12-02). "City, sheriff targeted black and Latino renters for illegal evictions, feds allege". Los Angeles Times. Retrieved 2019-12-02. Eastmain (talkcontribs) 00:55, 3 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

I added a paragraph covering both the 2016 and 2019 lawsuits. Open to suggestions about where it might better fit in the article. It might also be appropriate to expand and clarify in the article on the notability factors in play, including both the racism and the connection to state and national trends on homelessness, prison release, and re-integration of felons. Rancho San Felipe, Las Flores y el Paso del Cajon edit

This part of the article cites no reference related to the Spanish land grant. I also could not find the land grant mentioned elsewhere on Wikipedia. The search results on the web seem to refer back to the Wikipedia article. If there isn't an authoritative source for this information, I propose that the information about the Spanish land grant be removed. If it can be verified, it should be added to the Wikipedia List of ranchos of California, and possibly an article developed about the land grant. (Also see my comments I left on the talk page of that article. I hope a source can be found. I always like learning new historical facts of that era.) This might be a usable source: Rancho San Felipe: A Story of California One Hundred Years Ago. Jaufrec (talk) 05:00, 4 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • Thank you for responding Jaufrec. I don't have a copy of the book, so I can't verify if it would be a good reference source, but at least it seems a good possibility. MissionInn.Jim (talk) 03:59, 15 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
