Merger proposal

edit

It was proposed in March 2013 that the Girls (Sugababes song) article be merged to here. Further input needed. GenQuest "Talk to Me" 20:04, 20 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

As the user responsible for the tag being there, my rationale was that Girls is essentially a reswizzled version of Here Come the Girls; Hoppipolla and Poppiholla have been the same article since Poppiholla was released and Poppiholla is a reswizzled version of Hoppipolla.--Launchballer 20:27, 20 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose they are two different tracks with different songwriting and production credits (and even different titles!). Secondary reliable sources do not call "Girls" a cover of "Here Comes the Girls", the only thing in common is that the former samples the latter. "Get Sexy" samples Right Said Fred's song "I'm Too Sexy" but they aren't placed in the same article. Till 02:21, 21 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
