Edit request edit

The first line of the article should read: Hercules is a 1997 American animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation and released by Walt Disney Pictures. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.100.27.180 (talk) 18:38, 18 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

We can fix the dead link for reference 14. Disney flexes marketing muscle for 'Hercules'. You can find the new link at (http://old.chronicle.augusta.com/stories/1997/06/26/ent_210432.shtml) JasonWars (talk) 20:42, 8 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I just want to say that you should remove the mention of Live action from hercules since it has unreliable sources and also put that an actor is already contemplated for a role of this movie, which should not be so since there is no director o Screenwriter of the movie because they are first to be revealed. --Fabian Fuentes (talk) 00:23, 29 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Edit request on 18 September 2013 edit

I think there could be some additional information about the sountrack (Hercules 1997)

Daniel Troob - Arranger, Orchestration Michael Starobin - Orchestration

Daniel Troob has been orchestrated numbers of Alan Menken's songs. =

I wish this info could be included in the music section.

Partly done: Thanks for contributing this information and source. I have added the orchestration with the reference you provided. As the source lists no less than five arrangers, I have not listed these, and I have not added the observation that Troob has orchestrated other Menken songs, as this is slightly promotional and is off-topic to the present article. It would be better included in an article on Troob, should you or anyone wish to create one. Sorry it took so long to respond to your request. --Stfg (talk) 11:13, 4 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

"The film also featured the first positive portrayal of African American women in a Disney animated film." -- Okay, I haven't seen the film, but surely? There was no contact between Europe and America in the days of Ancient Greece (unless you believe Asterix). 2.25.149.9 (talk) 23:30, 14 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

its true its a very positive portrayal because they only sing black people music 49.182.162.87 (talk) 04:42, 29 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Page protection edit

Does this page still need to be locked? It's been almost a decade, and both the admins who were supposed to be consulted before unprotecting are now retired from Wikipedia. I can't imagine the sock whose activity originally led to the lock is still active or has been waiting to start messing with the page again all these years. It might be time to finally open things back up again. -- 136.181.195.25 (talk) 13:43, 15 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

This specific article is mentioned in an episode of a YouTube show from August 2018, with instruction to vandalize it. I came here intending to vandalize it, but I'm glad to see it's locked. It should probably stay locked. 2600:1700:D5C0:D10:718C:CC80:2024:883E (talk) 14:34, 24 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

In the plot summary, clicking on Megara takes you to the page for Lois Lane rather than the page about Megara. 151.177.164.219 (talk) 23:07, 9 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

It was a lot more than that in fact, see the recent history. Anyway, vandalism   Reverted; thanks for the heads-up. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 23:22, 9 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

There is a link to David Callaham. The link in this article says Dave Callaham and not David Callaham. 45.72.235.141 (talk) 18:08, 24 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Not done: Those both point to the same article, and there is nothing wrong with linking to a redirect. RudolfRed (talk) 18:59, 24 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Either this is misquoted, or the source misquoted it edit

"The Underworld seemed like such a fascinating, dark images;..." I suspect this is misquoted, or a copy of a misquote. Someone with the Bob Thomas book may look it up on page 165. The Disney version may have been mis-printed at the page break. The meaning is clear, but the grammar is wrong. 2600:8807:4813:E000:47D:7180:B183:C39 (talk) 18:32, 12 February 2021 (UTC)dfoofnik not logged inReply

It's been corrected. The quote is correct as printed in the book, but the 's' on the word "images" was removed. PrinceArchelaus (talk) 20:38, 9 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Unprotection? edit

Looking at this article's edit history, it's been protected for over 10 years. While it is understandable on why it was protected in the first place, is there any chance this article can be unprotected for regularly registered users? Before anyone suggests that I make a Wikipedia account, I do not have plans to nor do I wish to. Thanks for any help or insight! 69.245.96.48 (talk) 18:46, 18 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Footnote 79: "Ciaran Byrne, reviewing the film for the Greek newspaper Adesmevtos Typos": if you check the source, you'll find that Ciaran Byrne was writing for The Nation, and quoted Adesmevtos Typos. He wasn't expressing his own opinion. 2A02:A467:325A:1:BFA1:C3CA:CA18:5FB (talk) 18:15, 1 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Done ? You didn't request a specific change, but I have modified the sentence to remove the attribution of the opinion to Ciaran Byrne. It was added at this revision, during a ce. Not sure if any action needs to be taken to prevent others from making a similar mistake... (also just to be nitpicky, the article sourced is printed in The Nation, but it cites the authors as writing for The Daily Telegraph) GiovanniSidwell (talk) 16:40, 17 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
