Hi  InsertCleverPhraseHere  this is usually the norm for singular types of item but where there are different types it makes more sense to have a covering page to avoid disambiguation pages apart from other reasoning. see scalene muscles, cerebral veins, cerebellar veins, anterior auricular veins, Von Ebner's glands, electroactive polymers, preflexes as just a small sample. cheers --Iztwoz (talk) 21:07, 16 May 2016 (UTC)

• Support there are usually three hepatic veins, so it is misleading to have this page with the singular. The policy and reason quoted above appear to be generic and do not consider the nature of the request itself. --Tom (LT) (talk) 22:20, 16 May 2016 (UTC)
• Support, per Wikipedia:Naming conventions (plurals). Articles have singular titles, except when they refer to groups or classes of specific things, specifically multiple distinct instances of related items can be sensibly given a plural title when the alternative would be to create an inappropriately large number of short articles, one on each instance.   @Anthony Appleyard: Sorry, it does not work that way. The move was result of the RM above, it was properly closed, the random person on Talk:Hepatic veins has no business blocking it. Either someone reverts the RM close, or challenges it at WP:MR, but you can't just reject the NAC in this way. No such user (talk) 21:40, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
