There are two newspaper reports (https://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/viewer/bl/0001290/19091015/121/0007, https://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/viewer/bl/0002199/19091012/002/0001) of the 1909 wedding of Selma Amelia Grierson, daughter of Mr and Mrs H. G. Grierson of 66 Clapham Road, Bedford. I believe she was born 1890, and was Henry Grierson's elder sister. The second report mentions "Mr H Grierson" giving present, in a way that suggests the relationship.

A Bedford School magazine states that Henry's father, Harry Gustave Grierson, was an army officer with the King's Regiment (Liverpool). The wedding reports state that the grandfather of the bride was Lieutenant-General Henry Grierson (1817-1888).

Selma married John Bramley-Moore. I identify her with the writer Zelma Bramley-Moore. "BRAMLEY-MOORE, ZELMA (AMELIA). 1890-1983. Born Selma Amelia Grierson in Germany; married Dr. John Bramley Moore; died in London."[1]

Harry Gustave Cambriels Grierson, son of Lieut.-Gen. Grierson, was educated at Harrow School.[2] Harry Gustave Cambriels Grierson St John, gentleman joined the King's Regiment (Liverpool) as a lieutenant in 1885.[3]

According to the The Harrow School Register, 1845-1925, he served in WWI as a Captain in the King's Regiment (Liverpool). He was then a Rail Transport Officer, at Sidi Gaber. He died in 1922 at Wiesbaden. Charles Matthews (talk) 19:36, 12 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
