Just if somebody wants to know Helloween was on a split cd with Running Wild (band) and Hellhammer caled Death Metal. So if you want you can put it on their discography and link it to the album page cause I don't care. See ya! Death2 15:21, 16 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Expanded Edition CDs edit

There are Expanded Edition CDs of all Helloween's albums except for Helloween EP and Keeper of the Seven Keys - The Legacy. So far, I have added some information about the Expanded Edition for Keeper of the Seven Keys Part 1 and Keeper of the Seven Keys Part 2. --Bahamut 11:15, 10 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Covers performed by Helloween edit

They did cover Iron Maiden's "Wasted Years" I think. Any more? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 202.1.192.6 (talk) 21:11, 16 January 2007 (UTC).Reply

Fair use rationale for following images: edit

I have added the "Rationale for fair use" paragraph and removed appropriate deletion tags at the image pages and this talk page, as it was pretty cumbersome with them. Echad 06:06, 10 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Fair use rationale for Image:HelloweenGamblingWithTheDevil.JPG edit

Image:HelloweenGamblingWithTheDevil.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Melodic Metal edit

Helloween refer to themselves as "Melodic Metal".

Taken from the official Helloween website:

Helloween, one of the most eminent melodic metal bands worldwide and - along with the Scorpions and Accept - Germany’s ultimate metal export, got together exactly 25 years ago.

http://www.helloween.org/band.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by Metalosaurus (talkcontribs) 17:51, 6 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

The genre has been around since the 80's. Its the same as progressive metal and symphonic metal. Both are just the metal equivalent of rock genres - progressive rock & symphonic rock. Are you going to tell me they don't exist either? Melodic metal is just the heavy metal equivalent of melodic rock. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Metalosaurus (talkcontribs) 08:20, 8 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • And there's no "melodic rock", too. Where do you get your ideas for classification? Garret Beaumain (talk) 19:04, 9 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Not on Wikipedia there isn't but then this site depends on the few individuals who govern and write the article. Try googling or searching melodic rock on site like you tube and tell me there is such a genre. How is that both Hellween and Sonata Arctica give reference to being Melodic on their official websites?

One of the biggest problems today is sites like Encyclopaedia Metallum where it is one or a few individuals that many naive younger fans read and then go and believe and repeat thinking they know it all. It is however the many sources actually from the time that should be the governing truth. Metalosaurus (talk) 08:13, 10 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

You should never say "there is no genre called 'X metal'", because uttering this will immediately spawn such a genre. Its a law of nature or something. --dab (𒁳) 11:06, 12 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

According to their website they play 'German Melodic-Speed-Metal', and really, shouldn't the article reflect the band? 83.137.8.3 (talk) 09:41, 12 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Record sales edit

Over the past decade, various editors – mostly vandals – keep changing the figure from eight million to ten million. I've always tried to keep a close eye on this, but clearly one idiot managed to slip past a few years ago. As there is only a single source – the current one – which explicitly supports the eight million figure, I implore all editors to summarily revert any change of sales figures.
