I think you are probably confusing it with Cornu aspersum, a species that has been introduced in dozens of places all around the world. Invertzoo (talk) 01:00, 24 September 2011 (UTC)

Implausible claim

So adults of this species may commonly be ten years old, yet the migration distance is 3 to 6 m ? The common snails in my garden can migrate 3 to 6 metres in an hour. The source for this is something written by someone called Pollard in 1975. The 3 to 6 m might actually be miles.Eregli bob (talk) 13:52, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

Possible mistake - This species is never farmed?

According to the Heliciculture page, it is: "Perhaps the best known and most often cultivated land snail species in the Western world is Helix pomatia". I don't know anything about the topic myself, so I would not know which page should be corrected, but it seems that we have a conflict here. Incorrect Map

The map attached to this article is incorrect. Either the constituent nations of the United Kingdom are considered separately, in which case Wales and Scotland should be yellow since Roman snails are not found in those countries, or the UK is considered as a single country, in which case Northern Ireland should be green since it's just as much part of the UK as Wales or Scotland are.

Yep, incorrect. Spain and part of France should be yellow, too -as for Portugal, I wouldn´t know for sure Cambrilenc (talk) 23:35, 24 January 2021 (UTC)

Painting shells

Hello @Arden snail: Because WP isn't a pet/pet care encyclopedia it isn't necessary to remove an image like that. If painted shells are bad for the snails then we should still talk about that/show it. Invasive Spices (talk) 6 June 2022 (UTC)
