Same person

edit

Bit of a longshot but this may be the same Helen Rowland, the date of birth doesn't match but then neither do the dates of death, her record has 1988 but her second husband's record says she died in 1957! You never know...~Cheers, DerbyCountyinNZ (Talk Contribs) 03:56, 14 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

IMDB

edit

IMDB states that she died in 1978. As IMDB is not considered a reliable source another source is required before her death can be included. DerbyCountyinNZ (Talk Contribs) 03:22, 11 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Source for date of birth?

edit

Does anyone know what the source for Helen Rowland's date of birth is? The date of birth currently given in the article seems to be that of the Helen Rowland who married twice, firstly in 1944 to Robert Almon Elliot, and secondly in 1948 to George Clark - and who died in Darien, Connecticut, in 1978, as given on IMDB! If that is not considered reliable for the date of death, why is it considered reliable for the date of birth? Or is there another source I am unaware of? Dead?

edit

This seems to be the source that states that Helen Rowland died in 1978: https://www.nytimes.com/1978/05/16/archives/obituary-4-no-title.html I'm honestly not sure if it's the same person, but it could be. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 49.177.215.44 (talk) 10:41, 1 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Which Helen Rowland?

edit

A quick check of archives shows that several girls named Helen Rowland were born between 1917 and 1920. The article gives scant biographical information. In order to even guess if she is alive nor not one first needs to identify who this Helen Rowland actually is or was. We need a birth parent or a spouse or some sort of verifiable record to connect her to a death record. At best perhaps we can eliminate some by showing that they never lived near where Rowland's movies were made. Also, this assumes she was born in the U.S. She might not have been.
