Death

The article says he was posted to a command position on 15 September 1943. But this was 10 days after his death. Dapi89 (talk) 23:58, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Correct, it should be the 16 August 1943. MisterBee1966 (talk) 20:35, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

Notability

Does not meet WP:SOLDIER & sig RS coverage not found link, just passing mentions and / or non RS militaria literature.

No de.wiki article exists. Did not hold a significant command and topped out as Captain. Successful completion of missions (sorties flown, # of enemy aircraft shot down, etc) is not part of SOLDIER. A MilHist RfC on this topic has failed to gain consensus in May of 2017:

Please also see a note at MilHist Talk Archives for background behind the redirect. In summary, per the outcome of the discussion at Notability:People on notability of Knight's Cross recipients: permalink, certain recipients were deemed non notable and WP:SOLDIER has been modified accordingly: diff. The articles of these recipients are being redirected to alphabetical lists.

For a relevant AfD on a German fighter ace of WW2, please see: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fritz Lüddecke, which closed as "Delete". K.e.coffman (talk) 03:27, 17 September 2017 (UTC)

Couple of points re: Milhist B-Class

A couple of points. The Front Flying Clasp of the Luftwaffe in Gold with pennant (12 December 1942) doesn't have a citation, and it isn't clear where the victories list is cited to. Otherwise I think it is B-Class. Cheers, Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 07:16, 16 December 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for checking, cited now. Note, the victory list references are in the header of each subsection, example "– Claims with Jagdgeschwader 52 on the Eastern Front –[43]" Cheers MisterBee1966 (talk) 18:55, 16 December 2017 (UTC)
No worries. I somehow missed the citations in the table... Cheers, Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 04:26, 17 December 2017 (UTC)
