Notable edit

This is a fabulously well done page, but it has no outside second-hand references. It was made particularly for use in one song? Great, but can that be verified? Are there any books that talk about it, any websites, etc.?

I hope that helps a bit. Let me know on my talk page if there's anything else I can do to help. Banaticus (talk) 21:08, 19 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Heike Shamisen edit

The article Heike Shamisen has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Heike Shamisen does not appear to have any reference -- except those directly from this Wikipedia article -- in English or Japanese. Furthermore, there is no article on Wikipedia in Japanese about this shamisen, and I cannot find a reference in academic literature either.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
