What was the highest revenue the Hanson Group had before it was broken up?--Jerryseinfeld 3 July 2005 15:38 (UTC)

Good question. If the break up had happened a few years later it would be possible to answer that question from an old annual report on the internet. But as it is, after googling for an answer I'm at a loss. The only ways I can think of to find out are to write to the company or to visit a library that keeps old annual reports. Perhaps it should be "Hanson claimed they delivered value..." or "supporters claim they delivered value..."? Bathroom brassware

In the 1990s Hanson purchased a bathroom brassware company. The company originally made brass electrical fittings for heavy industry (shipyards and military armoured vehicle construction), but these industries were in decline and did not provide a stable demand, hence the transition to bathroom brassware. Merge proposal

@Dormskirk, Nedrutland, Cloudbound, and OlaphYellow: I propose merging Hanson Cement into Heidelberg Materials UK (formerly Hanson (company)). I think the Hanson Cement history can easily, without article size issues or skewing the content, be incorporated into the history of the latter after it began its focus on building materials (arguably it should previously have been merged into the Hanson (company) article).
