The title of the article names her as Hedvig Eleonora, but much of the article refers to her as Hedwig Eleonora. Google books show 5690 titles for the v and 6510 for the w. Should the article be renamed, or should the text be corrected to match the title? 1bandsaw (talk) 19:01, 13 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

The article should me renamed to reflect the well established English exonym Hedwig. --SergeWoodzing (talk) 14:48, 14 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hedvig Eleonora of Holstein-GottorpHedwig Eleonora of Holstein-Gottorp – The title of the article names her as Hedvig Eleonora, but much of the article refers to her as Hedwig Eleonora. Google books show 5690 titles for the v and 6510 for the w. The english sources generally use the w, and it looks like many pages on WP actually link to the redirect at the w, again showing further support in English language sources. 1bandsaw (talk) 16:52, 14 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

I do not mind the move. As I understand, articles of royalty are normally to have the name/spelling they are most known under in English, at least when it comes to historical royalty. Unless I am mistaken, that is official Wikipedia-policy, so the re-naming of the article to the spelling usually used in English is non-controversial enough for you to change the name without voting about it. --Aciram (talk) 17:39, 14 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Support English spelling customary. --SergeWoodzing (talk) 10:31, 15 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
