editCan someone rewrite this in standard English? I am having some difficulty reading it -- it looks as if it were written originally in French and run through Babelfish. Thanks. SigPig 07:27, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

possible copyvio
editthis page contains more coherent versions of passages found in our article. For example, the bit about splitting sound waves. Parking the link here so I can find it and to alert anyone who may be able to search the history for possible addition of a block of close paraphrase before I can get to it. - This edit by an IP transforms what appears to be badly translated French (from fr.wikipedia??) into text that more closely resembles the link above. So the copying may have gone in the other direction with our article's prose degrading since. Yngvadottir (talk) 21:39, 13 April 2018 (UTC)
Career sections
editHi everybody! I created three main sections for the career of Hector Guimard, and I transformed the old sections (regarding the buildings) in paragraphs of the new sections. I choose as turning points:
1898 - the Castel Béranger, created during the early career of Guimard, won the best façade price and gave him fame and visibility, marking the start of his mature career;
1914 - with WWI Art Nouveau was abandoned, the office building Guimard projected shows a functional and rationalist approach and his subsequent buildings are mostly in a Deco-influenced style. Guimard had moved away from his eponymous style.
Being this a radical change, I wanted to discuss whether this reorganisation was positive or not for the article. If not, the article could be restored as it was before. FilBenLeafBoy (Let's Talk!). 09:40, 17 February 2020 (UTC)
"Guimard Style" section - edits needed
editI think the "Guimard Style" section needs editing. Some of it repeats information found in the text above, and other sections are more personal opinions or written like art essays, not in Wikipedia style. It needs some re-writing and perhaps condensing. Cordially, SiefkinDR (talk) 16:47, 19 February 2020 (UTC)
