Talk:Hebrew Institute of Boro Park

Yeshiva University/RIETS edit

According to this [1], Etz Chaim of Boro Park was originally Etz Chaim Yeshiva (the antecedent of RIETS/Yeshiva University) , which is quite possible if Etz Chaim Yeshiva merged with RIETS in 1915, and Etz Chaim of Boro Park was established in 1916. But all other sources say Etz Chaim of Boro Park was established in 1916 without any mention of RIETS. Does anyone know information regarding this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.156.84.229 (talk) 01:51, 18 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Geography & Gender edit

HIBP/Etz Chaim was not "on the same block" as Shulamis. After exiting from one of the tall gate fences, one would walk to the corner, wait for the light (to not interfere with either the 13th Avenue bus or the 50th Street bus), get to the other side of 13th Avenue, then wait again, to get to the other side of 50th street, then walk a bit more than half a long "avenue" block, which is the equivalent of 2 1/2 short blocks.

For the students who got "busted" it was for going to the same Pizza store and being caught within at the same time as someone fo the opposite gender. SAME BLOCK? Not so. Pi314m (talk) 08:54, 8 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
