Talk:Heather Russell

Please stop deleting others changes without reason edit

I've done work to get this to meet the Wikipedia Manual of Style only to have one editor repeatedly undo the work without any statement of why. I recognize that this is a new editor who may not be familiar with our standards - but on a biography, we put the subject's name in bold when it first appears in the opening, we do not refer to people by their first name except when it is needed for clarity, we avoid using WP:ALLCAPS, and for section headers, we use Sentence case (i.e., capitalize the first letter of the first word and after that, capitalize only proper nouns), not Title Case (i.e., capitalizing most words.) I am restoring these changes. If you have some reason why avoiding the standards is called for in this case, please raise the matter here on the talk page and reach consensus for the non-standard usage before reimplementing it. --Nat Gertler (talk) 06:54, 11 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

"Heather" edit

I understand the comfortableness of referring to anyone by their first name, but the Wikipedia standard - which you can see at WP:SURNAME - is to refer to people by their surname once their name has been established, unless there is some need for disambiguation. As such, I'm returning the statements of "Heather did whatever" to be "Russell did whatever." --Nat Gertler (talk) 14:24, 12 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
