So I'm trying to figure out the correct pronunciation of the town here. Some folks call it har-thorn (like far-thorn), some whore-thorn (like more-thorn), and of course to me, it looks like haw-thorn (like saw-thorn). Any info on this? --129.34.20.19 (talk) 19:58, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

Neperan Redirect Page

I recommend the creation of a Neperan, New York redirect page to facilitate the discovery of this village within this Hawthorne Wiki page. It was a US post office for a number of years beginning in 1851, so it isn't insignificant. I personally am researching an 1852 marriage that took place in the village and only found this Wiki reference after considerable searching. Google refers searches to Nepean in Canada. I'm reluctant to create the redirect page myself, so I leave it to a Wikipedian focused more on Westchester County to decide if it is warranted. I personally believe it is needed.
