Ratanchak is a panchayat consists of 6 villages in Hathwa Sub-division of Gopalganj District in Bihar.It is east of Hathwa Raaj, so it is also called Garhpurwa, means east of Hathwa Estate.This village having 1000 families with population of around 6(six) thousand.The Pradhan(Mukhiya) of the Ratanchak Panchayat is currently Md. Mahfuje Ansari.The village consists of all castes, majority of them are Rajputs, other catse are Muslims,Teli,Gond,Brahmins,Chamar,Dome(Basfore). But all the castes have been living with brotherhood since starting.
