Things that just don't seem right here

edit

'In 1917, when he was 13 years old, his parents decided it was time to send him to St. Mark’s Prep School.' If, as the article states, he was born in 1898, wouldn't he have been 18 years old in 1917? He would have been 13 years old in 1912, not 1917. And the conversion of $12,000 a year to $152, 421 is much too low, considering that inflation between the 1970s and now is about a factor of 10. 206.248.163.122 (talk) 22:49, 28 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

I'll have to recheck the source for his age. Certainly he was sent to boarding school as a teen. The conversion rate for the dollar is probably low, but supplied by a script I don't have control over. -- btphelps (talk) (contribs) 23:20, 28 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
So he graduated in 1917, not entered, St. Mark's. That was the same year he volunteered for the Ambulance Corp. -- btphelps (talk) (contribs) 16:37, 29 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
