Start class

edit

I have upgraded this to start class. To improve further, try removing quotes and fix formatting as well as adding more information about the school itself and the grounds. Parts of the article read like an advertisement and this should be avoided. As the school is being re-branded, why not have a section about the old school and the reasons why it has been redeveloped. --Samtheboy (t/c) 19:55, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Merge

edit

Already said on other article, but there's no point in other article, mainly because it was never the official name of the new school (this article has it correct). So should really move everything back and also rewrite, as it's not very polished and no sources either (so could drop the majority of speculative text). I've noticed that the other article has been marked for a couple of months so might do this at end of weekend if no one objects.Smoothy 11:51, 18 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

I've modified the merge tag to include the Stanley Technical School article. Apart from the fact that the name of the school isn't strictly accurate (it's Stanley Technical High School for Boys), it's not written in a Wikipedia style, reads like it's been copied word-for-word from another place, doesn't cite any sources at all and there's not enough info on the old school anyway to warrant a seperate article. Should be included here in the history section really with a redirect to this article.Smoothy 11:35, 3 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Good, are we finaly going to merge these articles! I'm the writer of this article and think that the other two articles could merge together to form the new history section. I'm part of the wikipedia wikiproject schools and i focus on London schools but my strong point is not HISTORY! So i need someone to help me with that, and the other two articles mostly specialize in the past of the school, so... great! Just give me a buzz and I'll re write the articles into the history section, thanks. Pafcool2 17:33, 6 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Norwood.jpg

edit

Image:Norwood.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Controversy section

edit

This section lacks any references or sources for it and is also not written in an encyclopaedia way (e.g. some sentences seem to run off on a tangent). At the very least, it should be rewritten, removing cruft that is unrelated. Smoothy 13:36, 12 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

edit

The image Image:Harrisfed.png is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.
