The result of the move request was: This doesn't need a RM. Go ahead if you feel confident that the page is ready Jojhutton (talk) 21:45, 18 August 2010 (UTC)
User:Hnbrown44/Brown → Harriet Brown — Moving page from userspace to mainspace. Hnbrown44 (talk) 04:06, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
Still needs a lot of work, and I have a few questions... does it establish notability? Is it autobiography?
Assuming it does meet our minimum standards for an encyclopedic topic, moving the instream external links to standard footers would be a good start. Andrewa (talk) 08:59, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
OK, Andrew, I've done that. I think. Yes, there is an element of autobiography here, but I think the page meets your standards for a number of reasons. There is a significant body of work, including the book forthcoming. And there are the connections to the university AND to several websites that are important in the world of eating disorders. Please let me know what else you'd like me to do to make this work. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hnbrown44 (talk • contribs) 18:31, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
In summary:
- It is your autobiography.
- Notability is not clearly established.
- Some work still needs to be done to conform to the Manual of Style.
- You have made only two contributions apart from work on this autobiographical user page, one of them an external link to an article of which you are the author.
Is that all correct, do you think? I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to support its being moved to the article namespace on this.
My advice is by all means continue to work on it as an exercise in learning Wikipedia guidelines (MOS and others), if you wish. More on your main talk page. Andrewa (talk) 17:51, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
You know, yourfree to create the page at any time. This doesn't require a WP:RM, but be aware that it may get an WP:AFD, as the notability is questionable on this subject. Add some citations if you feel the subjet is notable.--Jojhutton (talk) 18:24, 16 August 2010 (UTC)
