Is the Eastern North American population really endangered?

edit

I found no support for this. Canadian legislation (Species At Risk Act) listed it as endangered in 1990, but a large population was found in Greenland so it was changed to less-threatened "species of special concern" in the East as I understand. If the population is not endangered, this uncited assertion should be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mare Nostrum (talkcontribs) 06:52, 29 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
