- It certainly is no longer a copyvio, but still very hagiographic. Anything onwards from "Eastern campaign" needs to be mercilessly pruned down. And the extlink should be given as a source, unless we find better sources. Lupo 13:13, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
- Please note Theodor von Sponeck (General-Leutanant) was a 1st COUSIN to General Hans Emile Otto von Sponeck and not Brother! Also, all info on this page comes from his biography "Das Exempel - Graf Sponeck - Ein Beitrag zum Thema Hitler und die Generale" by biographer, Col.Baron Eberhard Einbeck published by Carl Schuenemann verlag - Bremen 1970. Role in plot edit
The way the article describes his actions it seems strange that he would have been part of the plot, after all, he was in prison beforehand. Was he perhaps due to be released if the Nazis were overthrown, and given a leadership position? Historian932 (talk) 14:50, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
Article lacks citations, and does not present objective description of campaign in Crimea edit
There are no citations for any of the sections describing events in World War II. Moreover, much of the description contains romanticized exagerration not appropriate to Wikipedia. Grimmer-Solem's recent work edit
I notice that "'Selbständiges verantwortliches Handeln': Generalleutnant Hans Graf von Sponeck (1888–1944) und das Schicksal der Juden in der Ukraine, Juni–Dezember 1941" by Erik Grimmer-Solem is cited here (entirely appropriately). For anyone who is working further on the article, This article, also related to Grimmer-Solem's work, is worth a look, especially for its discussion of von Sponeck's posthumous reputation and for Grimmer-Solem's mixed assessment of con Sponeck in the last full paragraph. - Jmabel | Talk 04:27, 2 April 2014 (UTC)

Last words? edit
The French and Spanish wikipedia articles contain translations of the last words ascribed to von Sponeck. They are uncited. This article, and the one on de.wikipedia, do not mention them. This site does contain those words, but I am not sure of its reliability. (As an aside: those words seem to be to be redolent of those of Marshall Ney.)
