As a Greg Bear fan and a Halo fan both, I'll be glad to take this one, though I haven't read the novel itself. Initial comments to follow in the next 1-3 days. Thanks in advance for your work on this one. -- Khazar2 (talk) 07:06, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
Initial comments
editOkay, this looks extremely solid and ripe for promotion. Overall, it's well written, well sourced, and appears comprehensive. I only have a few quibbles, mostly noting a bit of additional context for the non-gamer, which I've noted below. I also made some tweaks as I went; please check to be sure I haven't inadvertently introduced any error, and feel free to revert anything you disagree with. -- Khazar2 (talk) 01:33, 9 April 2013 (UTC)
- For context, it might be helpful to point out that the Halo universe is based primarily on (or began with) the video games. Perhaps the first sentence could be rephrased as "set in the universe of the Halo video game series"? -- Khazar2 (talk) 21:22, 8 April 2013 (UTC)
- " taking them on a quest given the Librarian who has provided them a state-of-the-art space ship" -- should this be "given by"? -- Khazar2 (talk) 00:27, 9 April 2013 (UTC)
- " the Flood " -- explain briefly what the Flood is. -- Khazar2 (talk) 00:27, 9 April 2013 (UTC)
- diff - I believe I've addressed these. Your edits introduced no errors (but eliminated some that I should have caught myself!). Thanks! James086Talk 06:19, 9 April 2013 (UTC)
