Hallett Cove East Primary School edit

I am sure that you will find that Hallett Cove East Primary School was founded after the Hallett Cove R-12 School. I have fixed the dates to the best of my recollection. The Impact 11:45, 5 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Mall edit

I see there's a link to Hallett Cove Mall that basically just refreshes the page. Will the shops have a proper page once construction is completed, or should the link be made into normal text?--TomDæmon (talk) 07:19, 17 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Schools edit

Someone is attempting to force irrelevant information consisting of geographically specific jargon into the article. Perhaps they could explain here how the jargon relating to school years is at all relevant to the topic of the article, which is Hallett Cove. Rbka (talk) 23:26, 29 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

This editor has repeatedly removed descriptors for various schools claiming these as "geographically specific jargon", and I have tried to accommodate his criticisms, first by expanding the abbreviations, and then by refuting his claim by adding the link to Reception (school), to show that the same terminology is used in the United Kingdom (except Northern Ireland and Scotland). The descriptors are necessary, as the names of the schools themselves do not all indicate whether they are primary or secondary, or both, so removing them does not improve the article. Similar descriptors are often (though not consistently) used in other locality articles across Australia. Bahudhara (talk) 00:52, 30 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
Removing irrelevant information does improve the article. Tinkering with how irrelevant it is does not. The details of these schools are not relevant to an article about Hallett Cove. Seeing as you ignored the request to explain what relevance to Hallett Cove you see in them, I guess you know that. Rbka (talk) 07:33, 30 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
The information is not irrelevant. As the gentleman has politely explained, it clarifies and distinguishes the schools. The information is not only relevant, it is useful. Pdfpdf (talk) 09:23, 3 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
Relevant to what, exactly? Useful for whom? Rbka (talk) 22:19, 6 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
It is reasonable to me that information about the schools in a suburb is relevant information to the suburb that contains them. By definition, a suburb article is geographically specific, so I don't understand what your concern is? It looks like two other editors have reverted your removal of concise information that distinguishes the schools, and have worked to improve the clarity of the descriptions. Both editors have been specific to only restore the information you deleted without reverting the improvements you have made to other parts of the article. --Scott Davis Talk 01:28, 7 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
